Early Days

Early Days is a service designed for parents whose child has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The period around diagnosis can be an emotional and confusing time for parents and other family members.

Cerebral Palsy Plus has both the knowledge and experience to support you through this time. Our staff have first hand experience and understand what it is like to have a disabled child.

Every child with cerebral palsy is unique, and so is each family situation. We all have different ways of dealing with a diagnosis. Some would like as much information as possible, others would rather wait. There is no right or wrong way. Cerebral Palsy Plus understands this, and will be guided by you and the needs of your family. We can offer as much or as little support as you would like.

The basis for this service is not to offer advice, but listen to the needs of the parents and families. Our support is not time limited and can continue as long as you wish.
Early Days is intended to support the existing work of the Child Development Centres around Bristol and has been set up with their support.
